Answers to Prayer

Here's some very sobering thoughts on prayer. When we pray, at that very moment, a child is starving, or drowning, or being beaten and abused, or losing body parts to leprosy, or acquiring a tapeworm, or suffering through any one of a multitude of diseases. With 6 billion people on the planet its a horrible fact of life. Yet for some unfathomable reason people still think there is a God who hears and answers our prayers.

Dear God, please lead me to the right job; as a little boy chases a ball toward a landmine. Thank you Lord for leading me to this great job opening, as this little boy, having had his legs blown off, stares down in terrified disbelief.

Dear God, please heal brother John's arthritis; as a little girl struggles with her abuser. Thank you Lord for healing brother John, what an awesome God we serve. As the praises continue, this little girl, having been raped and murdered, is stuffed in a bag and thrown in a river.

How can we ask for anything in prayer while children are suffering through atrocities. I wouldn't even want a God to answer my prayers while at the same time ignoring the cries of children. What kind of monster does that make God out to be? Or us?

Since you do not believe in God, it would be ludicrous o expect you to believe that Satan has a part in the negative aspects of life. Fortnately you are free to believe, or in your case not believe, whatsoever you choose.

I hear you,,, im not a religious crusader but was raised catholic. The concept of christianity is its suppose to be faith based, to accept it, you must not need proof of its existence, the reward is by not knowing of its existence physically through a seen prescence, if you behave in the manner of christian thinkings, such as doing onto others, and forgiving, then you truly follow the teachings not knowing if you ever actually going to get a pay off of some afterlife. The message is, you shouldn't need a reason to be good to all, you should just do it for yourself.

Why are you wasting your time blogging and wasting your money on a computer while those children are suffering? Just wondering why you sit and judge from your throne of hypocrisy, oh Lord?

Do you not know that it is your responsibility to do something about the situations you are discussing in your post?
God cannot.
God gave the dominion and rulership of the earth to Adam.
Adam did not appreciate it and so gave it to satan for a taste of the forbidden fruit (Esau did something similar when he gave his birthright to Jacob).
Esau came to regret it as did Adam.
Jesus came to earth and bought back dominion over the earth and gave it back to us (it's part of what He purchased through His death on the cross).
Now it's up to us to rule the earth.
Sponsoring a child in Niger is part of how we rule (change things) on this earth.
Prayer is another. I don't mean the begging kind of prayer that says "God do something please."
He's already done it all.
Now we are to do it.
He has given us the right and authority to do so.
For starters try reading a book 'When Heaven Invades Earth' by Bill Johnson.
I purchased my book at Blessings.
Then go online and find www.kcm.org and start listening to some teaching that will totally blow your mind.
Also try http://www.bfmmm.com/
http://www.rhema.org/
http://www.worldchangers.org/
You aound disillusioned whith faith as you've come to know it.
Try something new, practical, earthchanging, and earthshaking.
I did and it's totally revolutionized my thinking, beliefs, and actions.
Be prepared for a journey like you've never imagined.
Come join us.
